Commission to spend half of EU health programme on innovation

The European Commission has proposed to spend about €194 million on innovative health systems in 2014-2020.

In its plan for the next Health and Consumer Programmes, presented in Brussels on 9 November, the Commission proposes to spend €194m out of the programme’s €446m budget on policy actions to facilitate the uptake of healthcare innovation.
