Paul Boyle, the chief executive of the Economic and Social Research Council, has been elected president of Europe’s new science funders’ group Science Europe.
Boyle was elected on 21 October during Science Europe’s launch in Berlin. The organisation merges the association of research-funding agencies Eurohorcs with the Strasbourg-based European Science Foundation.
