Patent offices in Europe, Japan and the United States are discussing how to harmonise their systems in Paris from 7 to 10 November.
The conference, hosted by the Munich-based European Patent Office, includes talks about data standards, patent classification, and a pilot project called trilateral Patent Prosecution Highway.
