EU and Brazil launch ICT research programme
The EU and Brazil are planning to launch a joint £8.6-million call for research proposals in information and communication technologies. The deal between the European Commission and the Brazilian government was announced on 8 November, and sealed at their annual ICT dialogue in Brasilia, where they discussed ICT regulation and R&D cooperation, as part of the EU-Brazil Strategic Partnership launched in 2007.
