Scientists central to EU fisheries reform, commissioner says

Scientists are essential to the success of the EU fisheries policy reform, the fisheries commissioner Maria Damanaki said.

At the conference “New Challenges and Opportunities facing Marine Fisheries Science”, held in London on 31 October, Damanaki said the EU would invest more money to improve scientific advice in the fisheries area.
