Spain selects batch of “science cities”

Spain has given 17 municipalities the “Science and Innovation City” seal.

This three-year accreditation rewards “the commitment of cities to research, development and innovation and their contribution from a local perspective to change in the production model,” the science ministry says. Selected cities become part of the Innpulso network and get access to a series of benefits, such as preferential treatment when selecting the location of science facilities or events.
