Spanish research centre cuts over 100 jobs

A leading biomedical research centre in Spain is axing nearly half its research staff, Nature reports.

Valencia’s Research Centre Prince Felipe (CIPF) said it would close about half of its labs, cut 108 scientists’ jobs, and slash the salaries of the 150 remaining researchers, the Spanish news agency EFE said on 19 October.
