Award for former JRC director

Gerry Lander, former director of the EU Joint Research Centre’s Institute for Transuranium Elements has been awarded the Walter Hälg Prize to honour a scientific career spent in the field of basic actinide research.

The award is made every two years by the European Neutron Scattering Association to a European scientist for outstanding work with a long-term impact on scientific and/or technical neutron scattering applications.
