EIT director outlines his role

José Manuel Leceta took up his post as director of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology on 1 July. He said the EIT aimed to become the “impact investment institute of reference in Europe”.

In an interview published by the institute, Leceta said he saw his role as three-fold: translating the strategy of the governing board into action; supporting the development of the EIT’s Knowledge and Innovation Communities; and building the institute’s team in Budapest.
