US hesitation delays Esa/Nasa Mars missions

The joint Europe/US Mars missions have been slowed down as the US said it could not commit fully to the programme, BBC online has reported.

NASA has announced that it was not yet in a position to provide the elements it had initially promised, including a rocket and a landing system to put a Rover on the surface of Mars in 2018, the BBC said.
