Anti-fraud office investigates medicines agency

The European anti-fraud office Olaf is investigating the role of the EU’s drug watchdog in a French pharmaceutical scandal, ScienceInsider reports.

Olaf launched an inquiry on 22 July to “verify allegations of conflict of interest” at the European Medicines Agency over the benfluorex case, it told the news website.
