Austrian university rector calls for EU help

The EU should help Austria to deal with a rush of German students, Salzburg University’s rector has told the Austrian newspaper Die Presse.

With more Germans than Austrians having pre-registered to study in Salzburg in the next academic year, Schmidinger said the EU should recognise Austria’s role in accommodating growing numbers of students from its neighbour.
