Fresh data weakens Higgs boson hints

Fresh data indicate that the Higgs boson is more elusive than some researchers had been hoping, scientists announced on 22 August.

Last month physicists presented hints of the boson in two of the Large Hadron Collider’s detectors, Atlas and Compact Muon Solenoid.
