International space station may be evacuated

Russia has postponed its next manned mission to the International Space Station, and further delay may force astronauts to evacuate the station, reports the Moscow Times newspaper.

The Russian Federal Space Agency announced it would carry out safety checks after the crash of an unmanned cargo craft on 24 August. In particular, Russia will carry out two test launches of its unmanned Soyuz rocket before sending the next astronauts into space, the newspaper writes.
