Australia and EU to boost cooperation

Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard and European Commission president José Manuel Barroso have agreed to step up cooperation in research and education in talks held in Canberra last month. For example, Australia and the EU will set up joint degrees to foster student mobility, as well as cooperating in research, innovation, education, climate change and the environment.
