The first Europe-wide survey of the working conditions of PhD students has found that many are desperately short of money and don’t know how to improve their lot, according to Science Insider.
The study by the European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers, Eurodoc, was carried out in 2008-09 and includes responses from 7,600 young researchers from 12 countries.
