EU patent should use English only, says study

The EU patent procedure should use the English language only to save time and translation costs, a Spanish study recommends.

The study “The EU patent system: to be or not to be?” was carried out by researchers at the University Carlos III in Madrid, Spain with funding from the Bank of Spain, the Spanish Ministry of Science and the Trademark and Patent Office.
