Europe’s chemical industry wants to lead public-private partnerships

The chemical industry is “ready to play a leading role” in upcoming European Innovation Partnerships and Public-Private Partnerships,” according to Giorgio Squinzi, head of the chemistry lobby group Cefic.

Speaking at the opening of a chemistry exhibition in the main European Commission building in Brussels on 6 September, Squinzi said that these schemes were the best tools to boost innovation, in particular in areas including raw materials, water efficiency, or smart cities.
