It’s time to meet the Framework fixers

Bidding for EU research funding is more complex than filling in a typical grant application form. A successful proposal requires sound knowledge of the European Commission’s programmes and procedures, links with potential partners to build solid consortia, and a good understanding of what makes evaluators tick.

Many universities have in-house EU specialists to help their researchers with these bids. National governments fund the work of National Contact Points, which also provide orientation and advice on the Framework Programme.
