Ana Barbas, a researcher at the Portugal-based biotechnology institute iBET, has received the prize L’Oréal for Women in Science 2011.
Barbas’s research focuses on therapeutic antibodies against breast cancer. She is the head of a lab at iBET, run jointly with pharmaceutical company Bayer Healthcare.
