Radiotelescope goes live
The third generation of a network of Europe’s radio telescopes, RadioNet 3, went live on 1 January, the European Southern Observatory has announced. The project was enabled by a €9.5 million grant from the European Commission, and will give 24 European partner institutions full access to 18 existing radio astronomy facilities in Europe, as well as ESO’s telescopes in Chile.
