European research funders met in Brussels this week to discuss the worldwide rolling-out of scientific values, such as open-access publishing and basic principles for research integrity, through the Global Research Council.
Senior policymakers and funders met to share views on these issues, and how they could be applied globally, at the first regional meeting of the council in Europe. Their opinions will provide input for the first Global Research Council summit, to be held in Berlin in May 2013.
