Regulators chided by court
Four health and safety agencies have failed to manage conflicts of interest, says the European Court of Auditors. The court found the European Food Safety Agency, the European Medicines Agency, the European Aviation Safety Agency and the European Chemicals Agency had failed to deal appropriately with conflicts of interest among employees and external advisers. The agencies said the court’s findings, prepared last year and recently released, do not recognise recent changes in practice.
