Commissioner reiterates warning for Erasmus

Students under the Erasmus exchange programme could be hit as early as the beginning of 2013 if policymakers fail to resolve disagreements over the programme’s funding shortfall, according to the commissioner for education Androulla Vassiliou.

In a statement on 26 November, the commissioner warned that “disruption of Erasmus exchanges will happen sooner rather than later in the New Year” if disagreement continues between the Parliament and the EU Council on the budgets for 2012 and 2013.
