The Council of Ministers and the European Parliament will meet today (13 November) in an attempt to agree a last minute deal on the annual EU budgets for 2012 and 2013, after failing to reach an agreement last week as planned.
MEPs and national finance ministers met on Friday (9 November) to agree on the EU budget for 2013, but discussions broke down after representatives were unable to reach a common position on unpaid bills from 2012.
