Saclay science campus will go ahead, pledges Ayrault
France’s prime minister Jean-Marc Ayrault has said he is determined to support the Paris-Saclay science and innovation campus, a hugely ambitious project to bring together 11 higher education institutions with research organisations on a site south of the capital. The project could create a campus for 10,000 researchers and 50,000 students, but it has been plagued by problems since its announcement by the former president, Nicolas Sarkozy.
