Cooperation network receives €10m bonus after perking up
The European Commission has confirmed that Cost, a Brussels-based intergovernmental network for Cooperation in Science and Technology, will receive the final €10 million (£8m) of its budget to 2013. Part of Cost’s funding was withheld after criticisms of its complex governance structure. But in June 2011, Cost launched a revamped strategy aiming to increase efficiency and better demonstrate impact, gaining it the trust of the Commission.
