Horizon 2020 proposes €2.5bn for research infrastructure

The European Commission’s proposal for Horizon 2020 foresees a budget of €2.5 billion for science infrastructure in 2014-20.

Speaking at the conference “The importance of research infrastructures for Europe”, held in Copenhagen, Denmark on 21 March, research commissioner Máire Geoghegan-Quinn said this money would come from the programme’s first pillar for excellent science.
