Parliament calls for Bologna boost

The European Parliament has called for more money to be spent on promoting student mobility and boosting the Bologna process. In a report adopted on 13 March, the Parliament says universities, national governments and the EU must do more to harmonise degrees across Europe. The report says “some European universities are reluctant to make sufficient efforts” to achieve a single European university system, and mobility rates remain low. It calls on universities and national governments to encourage degree students to do some study abroad.
