French physicist awaits judgement in Al Qaeda trial

Adlène Hicheur, the French-Algerian physicist accused of links to Al Qaeda, will have to wait until 4 May to hear the verdict in his terrorism trial, Le Monde reports.

Hicheur, who worked at CERN, appeared at a Paris court for a two-day trial on 29 and 30 March, accused of exchanging emails with a presumed member of Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb.
