Austria and Canada launch 16th joint arctic expedition

High Arctic, an Austrian-Canadian research project, has launched its 16th expedition on 19 July.

The project, initially launched in 1997, includes yearly expeditions to study the influence of climate change on fish living in Canadian arctic lakes. This year’s expedition will study the accumulation of heavy metals and organic pollutants in arctic lake waters.
