Medicines agency develops stronger links with Japan

The European Medicines Agency is working more closely with the medicines regulatory authorities in Japan, according to a report on interactions between the two bodies published on 30 July.

The beginnings of this new closer relationship with Japan’s Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency date from November 2009, when the Japanese authorities seconded their first liaison official to the EMA.
