Swiss science foundation plans 50th anniversary celebrations

The Swiss National Science Foundation celebrates its 60th anniversary next month.

The organisation was set up in 1952 to address concerns that Swiss research might sink into mediocrity after the Second World War. Today, the SNSF supports over 8,000 researchers and is Switzerland’s foremost institution for the promotion of scientific research.
