Commission plans agricultural network

The European Commission plans to set up a network for knowledge exchange and technology transfer from scientists to farmers, as part of the European Innovation Partnership on agricultural productivity and sustainability.

The network, which will be based in Brussels, is meant to serve as an information source and go-between to connect research and practice. The goal of the network is to make European agriculture more sustainable, and convince farmers to work “in harmony with the environment”, the Commission said.
