Cunningham retires as Irish CSA

The Chief Scientific Adviser to the Government of Ireland, Patrick Cunningham, has announced his retirement, effective from 1 September 2012.

The government has announced no plans to replace Cunningham, who has held the post since January 2007. He played a leading role in Ireland’s hosting of the Euroscience Open Forum 2012, held in Dublin in July.
