Minister says German nuclear phase out ‘too expensive’

Germany may be set to limit the development of renewable energy on the grounds that the costs involved are too high for consumers, according to Euractiv.

The rapid expansion of green power occurring in preparation for the phase out of nuclear energy is likely to cause a significant rise in energy bills, which could be a major political issue ahead of next year’s election, the newsletter said.
