SciLife and Mendeley research networks to merge

SciLife, a social network for researchers, has been bought by the London-based research collaboration platform Mendeley, according to IT News Online.

SciLife was created in 2007 by researchers at the universities of Heidelberg, Mannheim, and Lausanne, with the aim of boosting collaboration in science. The Mendeley platform, launched in 2009, has developed as an application to help users share research.
