Sony Mobile to cut 1,000 jobs

Electronics company Sony is to relocate its mobile phone headquarters from Sweden to Japan as part of a restructuring that will involve 1,000 job losses.

The reduction in the workforce will include 650 job cuts at the current headquarters in Lund. The remaining cuts will be mostly consultants in Sweden, Sony said in a statement.
