Europeans win Wolf prizes in physics and architecture

A Portuguese architect and a pair of physicists based in Germany and Austria are among this year’s winners of the prestigious Wolf Prizes awarded in Israel.

The eight winners of the Wolf Foundation’s $100,000 (€77,000) awards were announced Wednesday (3 January) at an event in Tel Aviv, the Jerusalem Post reports. The prize-giving ceremony is to be held in May.
