ERA report neglected cooperation, warn EU advisers

The European Commission has overlooked international cooperation in its efforts to monitor the progress of the European Research Area, says the Strategic Forum for International Science & Technology Cooperation (SFIC).

In an opinion published on 20 November, SFIC, a group that advises the Commission and the Council of the EU, slammed the Commission’s lack of attention to international cooperation in its ERA progress report, published in September.

“SFIC considers that the international dimension is not dealt with in a satisfactory way,” the members write.
