The French government has issued a call for proposals to establish a centre of excellence in cancer research.
Funding of €20 million is to be invested in a university hospital project over a five-year period following President Nicolas Sarkozy’s June announcement that money from his €34 billion economic stimulus package should be used to support an innovative project in cancer research.
