The French government and the Conference of University Presidents are to establish an expert panel to support institutions that are struggling to manage their finances.
If a university runs into financial or accounting problems, its rector can arrange to meet a “peer panel” made up of the minister for higher education and research and two former university leaders—Claude Jammeux and Bernard Dizambourg.
