“Blockages” preventing universities from taking part in the French government’s operation campus renovations programme have been identified and the programme can now be speeded up, the government has said.
Research minister Geneviève Fioraso received a report on 29 October detailing the problems faced by universities awarded funding through the programme, which is designed to help institutions carry out large-scale renovations and construction projects. Launched in 2007, the programme has stalled and little construction work has taken place.
