University presidents call for evaluation shake-up

The group representing university leaders in France has called on the government to make changes to its higher education and research evaluation agency, AERES.

In its submission to the government’s national consultation on the future shape of the university and research system, the Conference of University Presidents says most of the AERES budget should be spent on bringing in international experts to assess universities.
