Neuroscientist rewarded for consciousness research

Stanislas Dehaene, a neuroscientist and professor of cognitive psychology at the Collège de France, is to be recognised by Inserm, France's national health research organisation.

Dehaene leads a neuro-imaging unit at NeuroSpin, a brain research centre close to Paris. He studies consciousness levels and the impact of education on the brain.

He will receive Inserm’s Grand Prize for his consciousness research on 2 December in Paris.
