Agricultural researcher awards announced

Five researchers from Inra, France’s national institute for agricultural research, have been recognised in the institute’s annual awards.

Jean Fioramonti was rewarded for scientific excellence in his work on gastrointestinal physiology. Mickaël Henry, who has researched the decline of the bee population, was given the young-researcher award. Dominique Blancard, who developed diagnostic tools for smartphones, won the engineering award.

Research support awards went to Marylise Gratadoux for her contract management and Josiane Quéré for her work on plant selection.
