France's 2015 research budget has remained stable despite cuts to the overall state budget, but has not been adjusted for inflation, according to figures released this week.
France’s research and higher education budget for 2015 was presented to the country’s Council of Ministers on 1 October and was adopted by the National Assembly on 4 November.
The total research budget for 2015 is set at €7.77bn, an increase of €6 million compared with 2014. The funds for research organisations and the ANR, France’s national research agency, will remain at €5.78bn and €580m respectively.
