France and Kazakhstan sign university deals

Universities in France and Kazakhstan have agreed to increase their cooperation and student exchanges.

Geneviève Fioraso, France’s state secretary for research and higher education, signed agreements with Aslan Sarinzhipov, Kazakhstan’s minister for education and science, during her visit to Kazakhstan on 5 and 6 December. She said that president François Hollande, who was also part of the French delegation, considered university cooperation the trip’s main priority.

The two countries agreed to recognise each other’s university diplomas to improve the exchange of students, and to increase their partnerships and collaborations.
