Two laboratories at Inserm, France’s national institute for health and medical research, and two at the CNRS, France's national research centre, have received prizes for biomedical research from the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation.
The annual prizes, worth €250,000 each, were awarded in ceremonies held on 26 February. The funding is to be used for upgrading laboratory facilities.
On 21 January, a separate event was held to award the foundation’s prizes for life sciences and young researchers to 16 recipients.
