Parisian institute runs gender project

A European programme aimed at promoting gender equality and gender studies in research has been launched during a conference at the Sciences Po institute in Paris.

Effective Gender Equality in Research and the Academia, or Egera, has a budget of €3.3 million, €2.2m of which comes from Framework 7. It will run until 2017 and involve eight institutions and research centres: in Belgium, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and Turkey.

Egera will be coordinated by Presage, a multidisciplinary programme for research and teaching about gender. Presage is based at Sciences Po, a public research and higher education institution.
